| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of room at the Caps Ridge Trail parking area. NH DOT crews were working on the road and had it down to one "lane", but it wasn't a problem, even with my Chevy Silverado 2500HD. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blowdowns below the treeline- all easy step-overs or duck-unders except for one which blocked the footway so much that I (and others) had to walk around it. |

| Comments: |
The trail below treeline was mostly damp from the recent rain, with some scattered drier ground and mud. Above treeline, it was mostly dry with some scattered wet rocks and ledges. Unseasonably cold and chilly today- the temps were in the 20s to 30s on the mountain, with wind chills in the mid-teens. Felt weird (but kind of nice) to have to wear winter layers in summer! |
