I just wanted to add my disbelief about the number of hikers we passed on the way down from Bond Cliff in the late afternoon who all asked us how far and long it would take to get to Guyot campsite which was probably 8 miles away and thousands of feet of elevation gain ahead of them. Really? Do these hikers not read or comprehend distances and elevation gains? One group of three (all young men) were sitting on the trail sweating and resting and they hadn't really begun the climb. At least they could make camp well before Guyot if they had to but there was no water until Guyot and it was pretty hot up on top. |
