Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: At 7:45, plenty at both trailheads (Ethan Pond, Avalon). At 3, there were more cars present at both places, but not full, being midweek.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All easy rock hops. The prolonged rain shortfall lets the ground soak up recent rain easily, reducing swelling of streams after a rain.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All the trails were in good shape. At the top of Tom, there is a little minor encroachment of growth onto the trail; some light trimming is in order.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a pair with saddle bags, enjoying the hike, too.
Bugs
Bugs: None, really. Weather was cool and breezy.
