Black flies in lot. Breeze kept them at bay on trail |

Both the sign & post are missing marking the trailhead. Blazes faded hard to see. 2 thru hikers walked right past then back tracked. Nice moderate trail nothing crazy. East Hayes I think has some views, over to Hayes limited views. .3 miles past summit 2 view spots. 2nd views amazing. Ledges great spot for a rest. Beautiful day. Only saw 9 people, 2 locals 7 thru hikers. Lots of leaves down low would be slippery if wet. |
