Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: @8:45 am - 5 or 6 cars at York Pond Trailhead and 4 cars at Unknown Pond Trailhead. @3:30 pm - 7 cars at Unknown Pond Trailhead. Didn't count them at York Pond Trailhead. Left before 4pm, so I don't know if the gate actually closes at 4pm like the sign says. I hope not, as there were several cars still parked at the trailhead...

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Not bad at all
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some blow-downs, but nothing that can't be easily hopped over / ducked under
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few happy pups that seem to be enjoying themselves
Bugs
Bugs: It was cool in the morning (50's) so not many bugs around. The afternoon warmed up (70's) & they did come out, but they weren't too bad if you kept on moving. They were a little annoying when I was sitting, having a snack on The Horn.

Comments
Comments: Mt. Cabot's summit is wooded, but you do get a nice view at Bunnel Rock if you're approaching Cabot from the south. Happy I decided to do the whole loop and not just Mt. Cabot. The 0.3 mile spur trail to The Horn is well worth the effort. Definitely the highlight of the day. Views from the shores of Unknown Pond were also quite nice. Gotta love those mountain ponds. The Cabot Cabin is being worked on. No entry permitted.
