Comments
Comments: Followed Brain Bond's narrative, passing through the gate, following unmarked FR 83 to abandoned FR 83A (need map or Gaia to i.d. where it turns off) until it seemed to deadend. We were able to find some other old abandoned woods roads and paths which followed the drainage quite a ways. All of this was fairly open woods and moderate grade. We finally took a heading towards the summit. We soon hit spruce, not the small bands but a forest of older ones with those stubborn unbendable branches.... The terrain steeped here as well so it was an interesting climb to the ridge. Once on the ridge we came to a small ledge with views that were partially blocked by foliage. It was easy to spot the recognized highpoint from here on a higher bump with a bright orange canister. We signed in then made our way back to the ledge for some pics then pretty much made our way back down the same way.
