every water crossing was completely dry. |

some knockdowns, but nothing that can't be managed. |

saw one. Nice hike for a dog. Just be careful on those ledges. |

surprisingly, it wasn't terrible. More mosquitoes than black flies |

Perhaps it was just us, but coming off the Stairs spur we missed the left (southbound) turn onto Davis Path. Thinking we were still on the spur--which angles north northeast as does the Davis Path at that point, we hiked for a good mike before realizing something wasn't right and retraced our steps and this time spotted the signs. I guess the moral is, don't be talking quite so much with your hiking buddies. Pay attention. |
