Very enjoyable hike up the Kinsman's today. Met three pairs and a couple of solo hikers so basically had the ridge to myself. Very little wind so bird call and buzzing insects were the only sounds. The sun shining through breaks in the pine and spruce heated the dry needles on the trail making it smell like Christmas. A wonderful day! |
