Comments
Comments: What a glorious day for a hike! Dense canopy throwing lots of shade. The mercury was rocketing as the day wore on. Had to keep moving to keep the flies away. Not many wildflowers but did see a couple Lady Slippers, Starflower and bluebead lily. The breeze on the summit was a welcome relief. It was a bit hazy however I really enjoyed the views from one of the premier viewing perches in the Whites, especially looking down into the remote, mountain-ringed valleys of the western Pemigewasset Wilderness! Met a thru hiker on the summit who was simply in awe of the views. I stayed on the summit for about an hour to soak in all the mountains, enjoy Mother Nature’s air conditioning and the sun!
