We passed several dogs, or rather, they passed us, and all seemd extremely happy. :) |

There was ONE bug that insisted on hovering itself right between my eyes as if it was dangling from my bangs! Other than that they weren't much of an issue. |

| Comments: |
This was my first hike since I broke my ankle in April. We tossed around some smaller ideas, but decided if we were gonna go then we were gonna go big! We had two mountains left on our 48 list and so we were anxious to knock this one off. It was an excellent choice! With having the sore ankle I was concious of every single step I made and thus noticed the excellent condition of the trail. Some sections were so clean and smooth it was like being on a sidewalk! The previous days rain caused some slippery rocks that made for a slow hike down for me as I was EXTRA careful, but none of us minded as we were so happy to be back out on the trails and we all just enjoyed every moment of it!
This hike yielded peak number 16 for Marcus the day after his 16th birthday! Happy Birthday Marcus! |
