Trail Maintenance Notes: Some recent rock work on the lower section of Great Gulf Tr. The upper section and especially on the headwall is poorly marked and care is needed to follow. Wamsutta Tr was very brushy. Difficult to see your feet in spots along the steep descent.

Comments
Comments: A beautiful day in the valley lead to a cloudy and chilly summit (53 degrees, 30mph wind, visb <100 feet). It was refreshing but potentially dangerous if unprepared. The Great Gulf is very impressive even without any views of the high peaks. Saw less than a dozen people excluding the summit cone of Washington. The summit was very busy.
