My first time on this trail... Occasional drizzle and clouds were forecasted for the day. The first 2.5 miles were dry and an easy walk. Temps around 40 at the bottom. About 3 miles in it turned to sleet & freezing rain so I just put on another layer and used caution on the rock scrambles to the top of North Tripyrimid. It was terrific to see so many enthusiastic groups! one from NY state, another group from CT and 3 other groups along the way. Welcome to NH! After descending the rock scrambles, the clouds cleared out just enough to get a view of the rockslide and a portion of the valley |
