 | Water Crossing Notes: |
None, all dry |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Upper part of the trail (beyond Peaked Mt split) around the stone steps water bars need a clearing out. Hiking poles and hiking shoe heels not up to the job. No other issues. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Water available but not convenient on lower half of the trail, and it dries up as one ascends. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Mosquitoes out at the trailhead and black flies on the summit, keep moving on the trail and you’re ok. |

 | Comments: |
Nice hike on a bone dry trail with good SW views at the top thru a green pollen haze. Limited views to the west and NW to snow speckled Washington around the summit. Limited parking will keep crowds low, which is refreshing if you’re lucky enough to grab a parking spot early when the season really ramps up. I can understand limiting trail access, but this trail area can handle a larger limited parking area than what’s there currently IMHO. |
