Dog-Related Notes: Probably not the best idea to take a dog up this slide
Bugs
Bugs: Started getting harassed on the way down the slide by black flies. They really enjoyed biting my neck. No flies on the trails. Somehow, still no ticks! I really need to find my deet

Comments
Comments: Beautiful day! Most people I passed on the trail looked like overnighters either heading in or out.

I took the slide (long pile of rocks?) up when the rocks cross over Ethan Pond trail and followed it up as far as possible. Incredible views from the south side! The bushwack from the end of the slide was very thick for a bit but then thins out until you get to the bald spots. It looks like there are tons of heard paths at the top that start and stop somewhat randomly. I couldn't find any cairn or tree log where the highest point was. It's definitely not the thickest bushwack I've ever done, but my lower legs were definitely marked by the bushes. I went down the same way, which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Some rocks do like to slide about and wiggle.

There were still people heading in when I returned to my car.
