| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We were the ~6th car in the small lot at the end of Haystack Rd @ 730 - cars were along the road when we returned around 2. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Avoided first two crossing via "bushwack" on east - third crossing was a little tricky so we removed our shoes to cross as it was obvious we would've gotten wet - Shoes were soaked on the decent so we just plowed through. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blowdowns but nothing major - upper part of trail approaching first lookout is pretty eroded |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Only saw two all day - they had fun at the water crossing |
| Bugs: |
Only at Trailhead - nothing on the trail |

| Comments: |
Original plan was to get North and South Twin - but the weather turned pretty quickly when we hit the summit of North and we were glad we turned around as it poured on us most of the way down. The temps also decreased significantly from when we started. Still a great day - will come back for South on a nicer day to enjoy the views. |
