Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None of note
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Well blazed & maintained. 1 walk under blowdown that looks like it’s been trimmed already.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Not many pups today. I imagine that is because of the cave & ladder routes. I’d say the route we took would be fine for a fit dog ready for easy scrambles.
Bugs
Bugs: The mosquitoes were well fed today.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Yellow sweat rag left on blazed tree between Morgan and Percival.

Comments
Comments: What a day of ominous looking clouds to hike these two peaks. Set out with the purpose of checking of these trails without the ladder or caves. Since the alternative trail on Percival requires scrambling we decided to go counterclockwise to ascend the scramble and descend the more gradual Mount Morgan Trail. The scramble was short and sweet. If you plan on bypassing the ladders & caves I’d recommend going up & down this way. All in all, a great day to be enjoying nature.
