Comments
Comments: Hiked from the Bear Notch Road parking lot to Table Mountain. Hiking conditions on this day were ideal. Weather was sunny and in the mid 70s. There were a few blow downs on the trail, but they can be passed by climbing over or under the trees. The trail near the summit of Table Mountain is severely eroded in parts, and the crumbling soil substrate is likely going to exacerbate the issue in the future. Be careful on the descent because even when the trail is dry the rocky soil is slippery.

The Bear Notch Road parking lot is deeply rutted on one side of the entrance and needs significant repairs. We were the fourth car to arrive at the lot, and we parked in the last reasonable spot. If you want to hike Table Mountain from this way and see that the lot is full, do not block the only entrance in and out of the lot. We almost lost our bumper trying to leave the lot by having to drive across a two foot deep ditch.
