| Comments: |
Set out for Mt Blue (TW 72) but ended up guiding a newbie (Maddy) up for her 1st 4K
Ice and packed snow began shortly after the waterfall and was almost constant through most of the ascent.
I used crampons (my preference) but most people used micros or no traction at all. the coming warm weather will degrade snow conditions significantly.
Summit was clear and reasonably crowded. Maddy wanted to go to the Lodge and call an Uber but I lead her, successfully, back down Beaver Brook to her car. |
