Lots of blowdowns, but this was the first weekend the trail was accessible after the road opened |

It poured rain on the drive in. We sat in our car for 15 minutes until it was just a light rain, put on our ponchos a did a counterclockwise loop. Needless to say the rocks and roots were slippery. It takes a while to actually see the pond, then nice views back to the Doubleheads. Rain completely stopped by the time we got to the far end of the pond. We did not see anyone on the hike. |
