| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
After the zoo at Osceola I was expecting the worst - only about 10 cars at 1130 |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Unstable), Snow - Spring Snow |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Two minor crossings at the start that I was able to rock hop |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I took out about 5 trees. There is a big one about a mile up from Tripoli that will require a level of heroics I did not have yesterday, however I did limb it so whoever comes behind me will have an easier time. About 5 more of varying diameter, a handful too large for my 10" |

| Comments: |
A fine day in the forest, this was part two of my 'sachem to sachem.' Had never done this one, it did not disappoint. Trail is dry and in lovely shape aside from a few spots, snow enters right around Northwest Tecumseh and then right around the summit, but nothing major and wholly avoidable. Very quiet on this side, aside from about 20 folks who went down the wrong way. Noted several painted trilliums over here! |
