Comments
Comments: Outstanding day on Franconia Ridge today. We arrived around 7:30am and had no problem with parking. We hiked up little haystack via Franconia Ridge. Very good conditions climbing up alongside “falling waters”—so beautiful. The ridge from little haystack to Lincoln and then to Lafayette are hard to top. There were pockets of monorail and some post holing but fairly minor and avoidable. The path down Old Bridle Path was slippery in a few spots making spikes potentially helpful but not necessary for most hikers.
