Trail had some moisture as this was 8 AM. IT was pretty much dry on descent, at noonish. At about 2 miles, I encountered some hard ice/snow, which required me to put on my microspikes. I kept them on through the summit of So Peak and main peak and on descent until about 2 1/2 miles from trailhead. By the time I descended, the snow/ice was softer. Breezy at the summit, with clear views in all directions. No one at the top for the first 15 minutes then several people appeared from various routes. |
