|Date of Hike:
||Thursday, May 13, 2021|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Parked at Crawford Station.
3 cars there at 7:00am, parking lot full at 1:00pm |
||Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
||Light Traction |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||All rock hoppable |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||A blowdown on the Mount Tom Spur and a few on Avalon |
||The bugs are out :(
Saw a few swarms of gnats and some black flies at the Willey summit. No bites. |
|Lost and Found:
||Monorail is starting to rot a bit in some places, but in most places it can be worked around. Trail was wet in some places but again, nothing too hazardous.|
Barebooted the whole thing, but there were definitely places where I heavily considered putting on microspikes (especially between Field and Willey).
