We arrived early enough such that there were still plenty of spots to park in the designated spots on Ossipee Park Road at the Upper Trailhead Kiosk (on the LRCT Map it is Kiosk "i2" on Cold Spring Road) *after a little over 9 miles of walking, we were really wishing we'd parked across from "i4" but we didn't realize until it was too late that there a handful of spots there as well ;-) |

Wonderful hike for dogs- and we met a beautiful dog names Cole on his descent when we were first ascending |

We do indeed know of the trail - Bald Knob Cutoff - however, one of the people in our group needed the very sure footing of the old carriage road- we know it would have saved us a little bit of mileage ;-) WHAT AN OUTSTANDING TRAIL SYSTEM! Looking forward to heading back to the area for more peaks and views! |
