Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Ferncroft parking lot only had a few cars when we stared but was completely full when we finished.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Snow/Ice - Monorail (Unstable), Snow - Spring Snow, Snow/Ice - Small Patches
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No difficulty with any water crossings. On Dicey's Mill there was one crossing but there is a large fallen tree that you can use as a bridge.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails were in good shape. There were a few blow downs, but paths around them have been established.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few dogs on the trail. All were very friendly and well behaved.
Bugs: Not bad
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None
Comments: We were able to do the entire hike in bare boots. There were a few extended sections of snow and monorail on Dicey's Mill where we could have used microspikes, but by being careful they were not necessary. In general, the trails were all in very good shape. The Waldren Trail coming down off Passaconaway is steep with a lot of loose rocks. I would recommend going back down Dicey's Mill trail.
