Barebooted to about 1/4 mile after intersection with the Mt Webster Branch of the trail. Monorail started as patchy snow and ice, but transitioned to soft stable trail at about 3100ft. Used rock spikes until the last rock scramble to the summit which was clear of snow/ice. Saw several people w/o traction but it looked difficult, some turned back, hope all got off the mountain safely. Great chatting with thegingerhiker about her Mini Aussie and hiking. |
