Comments
Comments: First time doing this route to Moriah for me. I’ve done Moriah three other times all from Stoney Brook. This was a nice direct route, steep ledges were nice and dry so I had no problem going up or down them. Put the spikes on at about 0.7 mile before the summit. Definitely made navigating the monorail easier. There is still a fair amount of snow up high, sorry to the young man who was polite enough to step aside for me ascending that ended up postholing up to his upper thigh. Fair warning to all, stay on the monorail. Summit itself is clear of snow and ice. Great views into Maine and of the beloved Northern Presidentials. All four seasons done for this one for me !
