There is still significant snow in the trees above 3000 feet, good conditions for spikes except where the snow is intermittently interrupted by bare boulders or exposed bedrock. Much of the ridge between Pierce and Eisenhower is now bare, and Eisenhower is snowless at and near the summit. |
