Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Your feet will get wet crossing the crossing on Unknown Pond trail. None were particularly difficult if you just accept and embrace the wet feet. Worst was about mid calf deep.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some blow downs and the trail between the peeks (coming from Cabot to The Buldge and The Horn) was not well blazed. Ended up inadvertently bushwhacking a time or two.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Some earlier reports indicated dogs would have difficulty with crossings. I didn't see any crossing that a medium sized dog could not cross. They will get WET, but they can cross it.
Bugs
Bugs: No Bugs
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Saw a mitten on the sign at the trail head. Lost my bandana/handkerchief and carabiner. If you find it, wash it and keep it!

Comments
Comments: It was a great hike and the views from Bunnel Rock and The Horn were phenomenal. From Bunnel Rock until after The Horn was pretty much consistent snow at one level or another. Between the peaks there was pretty significant snow still present, which made navigating interesting as there is obviously less traffic between the peaks that up Bunnel to the Cabot peak. The cabin is in good (if graffitied) shape.
