There were some branches (small to very large) down- all easily avoidable (we moved small branches out of the way); also one tree down (hopped over) |

First, there are no "no tresspassing" signs (we looked hard just to make certain). We went to what we believe to be the true summit; we also traversed to another high point- just in case ;-) When we returned back to the field, we then re-entered to explore the section where there are primitive orange painted blazes (quite faded) where there is an obvious path that heads east; and then returned back to the field. WOW the views from the upper edge (the southeast corner) of the field! Just beautiful! One of the Jodrie Lane home owners drove past us as we were preparing for the hike and then circled back around and stopped to say hello and welcomed us onto the hike and said that none of the home owners would have issue with us exploring up there (very nice man); upon our exit of the field back to Route 110-B (Milan Hill Road), a second home Jodrie owner driving past us- stopped and wished us a great day. Very nice experience :-) |
