Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: No issue finding a spot at the AMC Lodge this morning. All parking full upon finish at 1. NOTE: The AMC Lodge is fully open for business. From overheard conversations, it sounds like they are trying to ensure Lodge guests are guaranteed parking this season. Not sure what exactly that entails.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Leaves - Significant/Slippery, Snow/Ice - Small Patches

Water Crossing Notes: No issue hopping across the numerous water crossings on the way down.

Comments
Comments: Original plan was to do the loop over Firescrew and Cardigan. Mountains got a dusting of ice/snow, but mostly everything was wet. Wet ledges, tons of mud/standing water on the trails.

No need for spikes, but if you’re heading up this week, make sure you have some waterproof shoes on your feet.
