Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I thought I could drive to Pond of Safety on Pond of Safety Rd... it's a long slog though.. and eventually I didn't feel like pushing my car through more deep dips so I just parked on the side of the road and walked an extra 0.9.. oh well...

Water Crossing Notes: nothing notable
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Large blowdowns scattered throughout - remember one at bottom of Underhill and a few at top. Another large one right below Eye of the Needle. I got lost coming down Four Soldiers in the area where Stag Hollow Brook started... took me a lot of wandering before I could find the next blaze going through that kind of marshy area.

Comments
Comments: Did a clockwise loop from pond of safety (after a 0.8 road walk when my car couldn't go further) up over Mt Randolph via Underhill > Crescent Ridge > Four Soldiers. With my road walk and going out to Pond of Safety, it ended up being about 8.5 miles total. The trail is definitely wild and takes some care to follow, but there is usually always a blaze or some bog boards to lead you. Just a few little patches of snow. The humidity and overcast gloom left me a little underwhelmed, but it was a solid trek nonetheless.
