|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One stepover birch. Massive unmitigated trail creep and erosion. Nice work on the rebuild at the trailhead, but unfortunately it only goes up about 100 feet, and the huge trench of a trail above it remains unmitigated. |

 | Comments: |
Trail was mostly dry, with the exception of the ledge scrambles, which were wet and had some minor adjacent mud.
First time up here since the start of the COVID panic. Crowds and "social distancing" has made the trail creep staggeringly worse. Trail is 30 feet wide for extended stretches now (for reference, WMNF spec is 4 feet wide). What a shame.
Classic Mt. Major demographics, including cigarette smoke wafting down the trail and anti-police vanity places in the parking lot.
Beautiful weather with sunny skies and a white Mt. Washington in the distance. |
