Comments
Comments: It was to my advantage that I overslept and started late, the wind died down a bit by the time I gained any elevation to speak of. The first 2 miles were mostly dry pleasant with avoidable mud. Just before the bald peak junction, I added spikes at the water crossing due to icy rocks then barebooted another 3/4 of a mile until you definitely need traction. Didn't posthole or punched through even when stepping off snowpack. Excellent conditions out there today.
