 | Date of Hike: |
Sunday, April 25, 2021 |
|
 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parallel park (again, with permission of the landowner) on the north end side of Pinnacle Road near the private entrance to the recently-logged area. |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
one minor area of standing water halfway to the summit- covered in branches over which we easily walked |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The logging trails are strewn with branches/roots, but easily negotiable. It is in excellent shape for a logging trail (especially of course the newest, most recently logged area- as there is yet to be overgrowth). |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Dogs could very easily navigate this. |
|
 | Bugs: |
small flies up near the dedication bench- the northeastern side of Pinnacle. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
None |

|
 | Comments: |
No hiking trail(s); accessed by way of new and old logging trails (with permission of the landowner) off from the northern end of Pinnacle Road- accessed from the west side of the road.
The hike up consisted of of recent logging trails up to near summit (where the dedicated memorial is to James Thompson Ruger), and then old logging trail up to what we believe to be the true summit ***THE SOLE PURPOSE FOR THIS HIKE- to attain an as close as possible, unobstructed view of CROYDEN PEAK*** without trespassing. The logging trails are strewn with branches/roots, but easily negotiable, excellent shape for this type of access route.
Completely free from snow, ice. Thus, no supplemental traction required. |
