 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The road is right where it should be but there is a house on it so you think that you are in someone’s driveway. But you are not!! There are two parking areas on the right before the gate; the gate is about 0.1 miles before Three Ponds Trail. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
There are three water crossings and then what I called a “marshy area†(I hiked in from the 118 side). The water crossings are easy rock hops. The marsh was a little dicey but I had dry feet both ways, after strategizing my hops!! |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There is a blowdown section about 0.5 miles before Hubbard Brook Road so the trail itself is a bushwhack for a bit, but this route is so incredibly well marked, it’s not confusing. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
My dog doesn’t do deep water crossings or marshes so she had dog portage. She was not super happy about that. She also doesn’t like a lot of moose presence (we didn’t see any but there is a lot of evidence of recent activity). However the temperatures were ideal and the sun was shining so I was out of the dog house by the end of the hike. |

 | Bugs: |
Not yet but this trail looks like it could be mosquito heaven. |
