Comments
Comments: Well we headed off hoping for better conditions than Friday, which was the case! We left in short-sleeves and could have been in shorts if we didn’t know how the elevation would change this. It was bare ground til about 2400’-2500’ just over the 2 mile mark. After this we put on our spikes and honestly did not need the snowshoes but it wouldn’t hurt either. The trail with still packed and no post holes happened. We saw a few but mostly from the moose that share the trail. We didn’t see a crazy amount of people out but a fair amount maybe 15. We got a dark cloud or two that hung over us and spit some rain/slush in us but nothing more than 2-5 minutes. The wind made it a little cold on top but nothing unreasonable. When we headed down we could tell that some snow melt definitely happened while we were gone. Good day out for sure!
