Parking/Access Road Notes: There is a large parking lot at the trailhead with space for a few more cars on the Jefferson Notch road.

Water Crossing Notes: None except for the bog bridges at the beginning. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The Caps trail has been cleared of all blowdowns. It could stand to be brushed from the first lookout to the first ledge. But passage is still easy. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Besides the bog which is not great for drinking, there was only one spot on the entire trail with any water. There are numerous ledges which the traildoggies will have no problem with, but some of the beginners might find them a bit difficult.

Comments: Despite the high temps in the valley, with an early start this was a fairly cool hike. The views were excellent. Many people on the trail today.
