Comments
Comments: Nice dry trails all the way up to 2800' (felt like summer!). Then the reality set in. A shallow coating of snow/minor ice is consistent all the way to 4000' (all of the wooden steps are mostly snow free). Above that was about 1-2 feet of consolidated snow. I barebooted all the way to the summit, and wore micro-spikes on the way down with no balling. Beautiful day! Only saw about 12 other hikers on the Osseo Trail and about 50 non-hikers on the LW trail. :)
