Arrived at 7am. Only one other car in the parking lot. Easy road walk to the trail head. Bare boots for first half of the accent. Trail was quite muddy in some areas but that’s what waterproof boots are for. Switched to snowshoes about a mile from the summit. Enjoyed an empty summit and great views. Used microspikes on the decent. Trail was getting slushy at this time, passed several groups and doggies on the way back. Parking lot was full at 1:30 when we return to the car. Beautiful day out there. |
