Cave Mountain Path has one large blowdown with a herd path around it, plus some smaller stepovers after that. The final pitch up to the cave is fairly slippery due to the severe erosion. |

The short stretch of MLT I was on was fairly muddy and wet. CMP was dry thank goodness. From the cave I worked my way up to the view ledge, then bushwhacked to the high point, initially following a herd path which soon faded out. Woods are easy and open but there's nothing at the top.
From the view ledge, I noted a black-blazed path heading west. The black blazes appear to have been applied to cover previous yellow ones. No idea where this path leads. |
