Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The crossing of Artist Brook on the old Peaked Mountain segment requires about a three-foot jump across a tiny flume. This is a no-brainer for most people and dogs; however, if you are really old or really young or have a physical condition that doesn't permit you to leap several feet, then this one could be very difficult. Could also be tricky if it was raining and the landing rocks were wet.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: trails in great shape no blowdowns I can recall
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: great dog hike-lots of water throughout and no scrambles. We met one friendly German Shepherd enjoying the gorgeous weather early this morning
Bugs
Bugs: none today
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: khaki nantucket ball cap hanging on small tree low down on the Peaked Mountain Trail. left it there.

Comments
Comments: Pleasant redlining in the beautiful Green Hills Preserve. trails are free of snow and ice and mostly dry. Peaked Mountain ledges were wet in places but never steep so not an issue. excellent views all over the place. Pudding Pond was a real chore-the true definition of a one and done unless you live down the road or something
