Comments
Comments: We started on Imp North, initially following a number of sets of tracks, but eventually overtaking everyone. We broke trail in 6-8in spring snow over Imp Face and to north Carter Junction. We were glad to find snowshoes tracks up N. Carter Tr. Trail up and Carter Moriah along the ridge were in great shape as most wore snowshoes. Tracks ended well short of Carter Dome and we broke trail in semi-supportive snow, sinking 8in or so. Oh the way down to the notch, we passed a group of three. No tracks over Mt. height as of our pass. Wildcats were well traveled. Trails are in good shape, with lots of soft, packed snow; snowshoes are a must.
