Comments
Comments: Patches of bare ground and some snow down low. We bare booted to the Bald Knob junction. Too boney for snowshoes, and too slushy for micro spikes below this point. Put on snowshoes from junction to South Kinsman and back. Many people out and the trail was fast and becoming well packed. Snowshoes were helpful up high. Winter has returned to the mountains - beautiful snow laced trees! Great to see Heather and friends on the trail. A fun day with Tara, Gypsy Hiker, and Tom.
