Comments
Comments: Did an out-and-back to Liberty and Flume. Avoidable ice and snow started at 2600' and stable monorail started at 3400'. Snow was a little softer on the ridge. Snowshoes might've been helpful for short sections on the ridge, but the monorail was the width of a balance beam much of the trail. Spikes were helpful for descending on the slippery snow; everyone I met was barebooting or in spikes.
