Wow hotter than expected today, glad I wore shorts! Easy hike with solid monorail after bog bridge. Step off & posthole for sure. In sunny spots monorail is collapsing or gone. No issues as long as you stay on trail, I bearbooted until 3/4 up the slide. Slide was wet slippery with lots of ice the higher you go. Tough climbing, took me 1-1/2 hrs to get up the steeps. Ass kicker today. Saw 2 starting down.....no way would I attempt it. Hazy on Flume but very warm. Spikes over to Liberty. Solid trail for the most part. Liberty was hot sunny, fantastic views from both. Spikes down about 1/2 way. Lots of running water on Liberty Spring. Dry after last river crossing. Snowshoes went for a ride today! |
