Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A few rock hops. Nothing too precarious.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some faded markers between Straightback and Major, and at the top part of Blueberry Pasture. Otherwise very well maintained.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Many happy pooches. Unfortunately their humans don’t always make the right decisions. A pile of poop doggy bags has started on the rocks of the marker/plaque for the Silent People. In general leaving your poops is poor hiker etiquette. Stashing them on a display memorializing lost lives is just lack of respect for your fellow beings.
Bugs
Bugs: Not bad today.

Comments
Comments: Forget spring hiking, today feel like full on summer. The majority of trails are dry. Any occasions of mud were short lived. Between Straightback & Major there were 2 small, walk around patches of ice. As expected, lots of people on Major but there was enough room for everyone to have some space. Heading down Blueberry Pasture is pleasant view and stroll until you hit the snomo trails. Trail is a tedious maneuvering of ankle rolling rocks for about a half mile. All in all good workout today and good to be outside.
