Some blowdowns on Franconia Brook Tr. only one big birch about 3/4's mile from 13 Falls causing potential off trail rerouting. |

As mentioned in many recent reports not a lot of water up higher in Twins, Bonds, Zealand area. |

Got bit a few times most likely worse if unprotected. |

3 goals for day (1)Views up high (2)Lesser crowds (3)Long walk. This hike satisfied all 3. Later arrival on Twins had great views without crowded summit and the quiet walking was there. Reports from others had Gale River and North Twin Trail brook crossings low so sounds like few water crossing issues right now and this whole area has nice dry trails. |
