Ideal conditions - At The Moment, but expect that to change with soon-to-come rising temps. Black Pond bushwhack 50% bare ground, 50% snow/ice monorail, melting fast; bareboots. Lincoln Woods Trail nearly 100% snow/ice; Hillsounds helpful but bareboots OK. Brutus bushwhack 75% lingering icy monorail, Hillsounds very helpful on the steeps. 2-3 foot deep snowpack on OH path, stable for us on this day with temps in 30s up high; Hillsounds great. Only 2 other hikers seen all day. A great day to grid out Owl's Head. Thanks to Dick and Eva for the excellent company.
