Parking lot is flooded. We were able to park on the edge where the ground had firmed up due to the cold temperatures. Recommend choosing a different hike during mud season. |

There is still lots of hard packed snow and ice on Smarts proper. Microscopes are essential. AVOID RANGER TRAIL!!! It has turned into a brook and is barely passable. |
